In tribute to Katherine (Kaye) Salamandyk Mihychuk Meleshko (d. Aug 15-16) Age 100
Kaye’s ‘false sunflower’ or ‘sunstar’ as I like to call it, is a hardy and cheery plant, (much like the kind of person Kaye was…) Kaye first shared this plant with my mom to brighten her yard. My sister has since replanted it at her cottage, where the ‘sunstar’ happily flourishes in her ‘butterfly garden’.
