  1. The poem reflects my love for Paris and France, and also my belief in the freedom of expression. Although I do not necessarily agree with the content Charlie propagates, I do think that silencing ‘thought’ by murdering others as occurred at Charlie Hebdo is nothing short of evil.

  2. Surat Al-Baqarah [verse 256] – There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion.

    I am a Christian so believe in God’s sovereignity as well as human free will. A God of love persuades and woos, but never forces His creatures to come into a saving relationship with Him. We should do likewise with our fellow man, especially those who think and believe differently than we do. The truth is inseparable from love and mercy.
