Unbottled light
Spilled autumnal
Feast, at your feet
Red sweet orange
Skies racing blue
Words out of breath
In tousled leaves
A solar updraft, warm
Conversations lost
In summer’s last run
A clattering spoon
On a bare café floor
No interloper. I wait
Listening as sun soaks
Coffee brown earth
Savouring light, scribbling
Outside the lines
