Waiting

Torosay pine

old scraggly pine bends
as i do, a retreat from rains
sheltering along wild strands
where rivers find the sea
i stand, at the lee of things
i must, i know, like the land,
await, new turnings of pages

  2. Perhaps that page turn is closer than we think.
