hey, so ya remember back wen
u were real broken?
i knew u were bent outta shape
by a zillion things gone wrong
but u wuldn’t talk about it.
i saw u feeding sum sparrows
at your feet out in the sun
your face crumpled in tears
and a lunch bag full’a dreams.
i kinda knew u were thinking
u were worthless or sum-thing.
that was then and this is now.
so i hope u know better now
how yur true worth can NOT
can’t ev’r get meazured
in dollars n’ nonsense.
and no one can put a $
or a price tag on yur soul.
just sayin’…i’m with u.
