I’m going back
Whenever the wind blows
I’m free as a bird
It takes me back places
I knew as a child
I’m returning again
Whenever the wind sighs
Where time slowly passes
I’ll find home come nigh
Yes, I’m going back soon
Where the wind blows free
For free as a child
The wind’s taking me
I may get lost awhile
Flying far as dreams fly
But I’ll always circle back
And somehow I’ll find
I’ll find home, I’ll find home
I’ll find home, I’ll find you

I love the nostalgic tone of this poem, I can almost hear the poet’s voice. This tugs at the heart strings, Susan.
