Happy Dance

Swept downstream
the rushing turbulence
the circumstantial change
sometimes makes you forget
to pause, to say thanks
for little things
feet on the ground
Earth’s rambling fields
Sky’s endless span
Other than blunt ingratitude
what can possibly hold me back
from doing my happy dance?

  1. Susan, this is an urgent reminder amidst the rushing flow of the activities of life, to relish the wonder and awe of being alive, having breath and life to experience the glory of God and His creation. An urgent message clothed in beautiful poetry.

  2. Like skipping stones across a watery expanse . . .thoroughly enjoyed!

  3. “Other than ingratitude, what can hold me back …” Such simple but profound truth. Love this.

  4. Oh this is good and it links to another blog I just read concerning awe and wonder
    http://inlovewiththelord.wordpress.com/2013/12/19/what-children-teach-us/
…how we need to become wonder-filled like children again and just thank God for this miracle called life.

  5. Nice reading about you
