Splashing Green

wall321.com, summer

Unending bubble gum pink days
Grass growing, regrowing instantly
Nature smiles baked warm, kneaded

Soft dough hazy rising-early dawns
Resonating laughter of new earth

Tuning up, like an orchestra underfoot
Bassoons, sounding low in gardens
Flutes, striking higher, leafy notes

Unhurried, lazy sunlight pouring in
Children screeching as sweet violins

Reinventing. Outstretched wings.
Tuckered out, breezy bundles of summer
As a best secret…kept.

Splashing green, in pools, and lakes
