Green Sails

seawinds, list of images.comBroad green sails

Skipping harbour

Glass half-full

Slick raw winds

Rain sweeping decks

Circling due north

Sun-jewelled waves

Taking life beyond

Starry-eyed seas

Sails stretched wide

Tracking long miles

Ships coming in

No point waiting

  1. “Sun-jewelled waves Taking life beyond Starry-eyed seas” — just love this poem — reminds me of the years when we used to sail with our children, especially the rough seas and lightning, and braving the elements of the wind in the dark…beautiful poem!
