Caledonia Skyes

Driven’ by blustr’y wether, grey skyes an roods g’own black
We face’d thae Vallum Aelium, hand hewn by Hadrian’s men
Stanes rise strait up tae heav’n, we felt th’clang, th’girth
Uv men hammerin’ stanes, an slammin’ rocks tae earth
Up, up, we climb’d, tae gaze, an dream uv those great leagues
Tha’ brave, tha foolhard’y, ow turn’in’, as restless as th’seas
Fierce legions, thirty thousand, wha’ dare’d defy th’sword
Wi’ standards high, wi roars, wi micht,  an vict’ry thair c’owl
Now ages past, below Caledonia skyes, still stands…th’ wall.
